To Whom It May Concern:

The RTVI television channel is a part of the Media Most/Overseas Media group of companies founded by a Russian media mogul Vladimir Gussinsky. RTVI provides pay television broadcast services via satellite to Russian speaking viewers around the world outside Russia . All programs produced and distributed by RTVI are broadcasted in Russian and are offered by subscription to viewers residing in the territories within the reach of the carriage satellites. The channel is currently distributed throughout the United States , Canada , Europe , Israel , Australia and former Soviet Union .

Since its 1999 U.S. broadcast launch, RTVI has held a highly involved and influential position within the Russian-speaking community. RTVI is the only network of its kind, serving as an active bridge to Russian culture that expatriates in the U.S. and other countries left behind. It also acts as a window into their newly acquired home. RTVI has sponsored and participated in numerous local events and holiday celebrations, promoting goodwill in Russian communities.

The programming format of RTVI is similar to that of leading American networks. RTVI produces seven editions of news and several entertainment programs. One of RTVI's most popular talk-shows - “Visavi” is created and hosted by an outstanding and highly popular journalist Alla Baratta. Mrs. Baratta brings a unique mild-mannered, unpretentious and direct style to her interviewing. Her program manages to convey the human side of her interviewees, many of whom are among the most celebrated personalities in the world. Some of the show's guests include such well known figures as former mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani, the governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell, Russian artist Mikhail Chemiakin, internationally acclaimed musicians Mstislav Rastropovich and Vladimir Spivakov among many others. Mrs. Baratta continues to invite some of the most distinguished individuals from both Russian and American communities as she focuses her effort at strengthening the American-Russian cultural bond. Our viewers have grown extremely fond of Mrs. Baratta and her show and continuously provide us with feedback and suggestions. It is for this reason that we ask for assistance in attracting more prominent figures that are of such interest to Mrs. Baratta's audiences.
